Oral Turinabol or 4 Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone was developed by Jenapharm in East Germany back, in 1962 as a steroid that borrowed features from Dianabol and clostebol but underwent a 4 chloro modification to lower its androgenic and estrogenic effects while also slightly reducing its properties. It gained popularity as part of East Germanys doping program between 1974 and 1989 due, to its ability to enhance muscle growth without causing water retention. Jenapharm discontinued production in 1994 after the doping program was exposed. Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone does not get converted into estrogen in the body; hence users usually do not have to be concerned about experiencing estrogen related side effects such, as gynecomastia even if they're sensitive, to it.
