Product Overview

Synthroid is a drug made up of sodium Levothyroxine, which was introduced in the year 1955 by Flint Laboratories. T4 is a natural thyroid hormone found in the body, while this medicine is used as an imitation for it. The condition in which one’s thyroid gland does not produce sufficient hormones that are important for metabolism is referred to as hypothyroidism and is mostly corrected by prescribing this drug. Synthroid, however, helps with various functions like making energy, forming proteins among others since it contains more T4 than what the patient’s body has produced itself. Patients who have normal metabolic activity levels remain fatigues-free, they do not gain unnecessary weight either thus avoiding hypothyroidism-related symptoms such as tiredness or overweight problems.
