In 1992 Croatian scientist Predrag Sikiric found BPC 157 (a pentadecapeptide) made up of 15 amino acids derived from a protein found in the stomach. It is widely recognized for its capacity to help in the recovery of tissues and bones, as muscles and tendons. Although extensively researched, BPC-157 is not approved for medical use and remains a research chemical. Research is targeted on its ability to improve healing process by promoting the growth of blood vessels and decreasing inflammation lvl.
