Its veterinary application soon overshadowed human use, with Equipoise becoming a staple in animal care, especially for horses. Structure of this substance derived from testosterone and features a bond, between carbons 1 and 2 that decrease its estrogenic impact while boosting its anabolic characteristics. The undecylenate ester allows for extended action in the body. After its ownership shifted from Squibb to Solvay and Wyeth, Pfizer now markets Equipoise.
