Initially developed for treating excessive prolactin production, Cabergoline was introduced by Pharmacia in the 1980s under the brand Dostinex. Its works effectively by triggering dopamine receptors, like D1 activation and decreasing prolactin lvl. This method is useful for addressing hyperproclatinemia and related issues, like dysfunction and enlarged breasts in individuals. Since its FDA approval and the later introduction of generics around 2005, Cabergoline has become widely available globally under various names. It continues to be used in over 30 countries all over the world, with Dostinex remaining the most well known name.
