Cabergoline marketed initially as Dostinex by Pharmacia. It is a dopamine receptor agonist, primarily used to lower prolactin lvl. It was created during the 1980s. Quickly became a key treatment for hyperprolatcinemia. By acting on the D2 receptor, its inhibits prolactin production, addressing conditions like gynecomastia and sexual dysfunction in men. It became available worldwide after the FDA approved generic versions between 2005 and 2007. Cabergoline is now marketed under various brand names across several countries, but Dostinex remains one of the most prominent labels globally.
