Oral Turinabol (4-Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone) is a derivative of Dianabol, created by Jenapharm in 1962. The steroid is essentially a cross between methandrostenolone and clostebol, with a 4-chloro modification. This modification transforms it into an alternative compared to Dianabol by reducing its androgenic effects while continuing to stimulate muscle development.The substance became well known for its involvement, in the state backed doping initiative of East Germany from 1974, to 1989 with the stop of the in 1994. Athletes were administered the drug to build muscle mass without excessive water retention.
