Sold under the brand name Femara, Letrozole approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 1997. It is a 3rd GEN aromatase-inhibitor. Its primarily used to lower estrogen in postmenopausal women with breast cancer. Beyond its medical use, it is employed by bodybuilders to control estrogen lvl during steroid cycles and prevent side effects like gynecomastia.
