Substance Overview and History

The beta thymosins belong to a group of 5 kDa peptides that were initially believed to be hormones produced by the thymus gland and were first documented back, in 1966 by A.L Goldstein and A.White researchers. In total there are sixteen known thymosins with three of them identified in the body. Thymosin β10 (TB10) Thymosin β15 (TB15) and Thymosin β500 (TB500). TB500 is the segment of a 43 amino acid peptide known as Thymosin Beta found in all tissues except, for red blood cells. TB4 is predominantly found in organs such as spleen, lungs, cerebrum and heart and It is also present in fluids, like saliva and tears. The thymosin beta 4 (Tβ4) is released by the thymus gland to aid in the recovery process; its production is limited which hinders the healing process from progressing rapidly.TB500 was identified as the component of Tβ4 that facilitates healing. It stimulates angiogenesis that enhances blood circulation to damaged tissues leading to the rejuvenation of body parts, like the heart skin tissue, ligaments and organs. Additionally it provides a boost to immunity, pain relief and inflammation reduction.

FAQ
What is TB-500?
TB-500 is the active region of a 43-amino-acid peptide called Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), located in every tissue of the human body except for red blood cells.
How does TB-500 function in the body?
TB 500 operates in two ways. A key mechanism involves angiogenesis that boosts blood circulation to injured tissues and aids, in their recovery.
