Methyl-1-Testosterone is an oral anabolic steroid, also called methyldihydroboldenone. It is a modified form of 1-testosterone (dihydroboldenone), with a 17-alpha methyl group. First described in 1962 during an active period of steroid research, this compound was reintroduced as a dietary supplement in 2003.  It gained popularity swiftly due, to its impact on enhancing increases, in muscle mass and strength. . However, due to safety concerns and regulatory changes, it was banned in 2005. Bodybuilders often preferred it for gaining muscle mass; however its usage sometimes resulted in retaining water or fat.
