Originally synthesized in the late 1950s but brought to market later, drostanolone propionate filled a specialized role in cancer care. Approved for breast cancer therapy, it was marketed under various names including Drolban and Masteron. As a non-aromatizing androgen, it helped limit estrogen's effects while minimizing masculinizing side effects. Although withdrawn from most medical use by the 1990s, its value was revived in the athletic community, where it’s now prized for creating muscular sharpness and detail without added bulk.
