Methenolone enanthate entered the pharmaceutical market during a wave of anabolic research in the early 1960s. Squibb’s version, Nibal Depot, was short-lived in the U.S., but Schering’s rebranding as Primobolan Depot gave the drug a new life in Europe. Designed for long-term injectable use, it offered anabolic support without the estrogenic risks of other compounds. With minimal suppression and excellent tolerance, it became widely used for post-surgical recovery and chronic illness, later gaining recognition in athletic circles for similar reasons.
