CJC-1295 with DAC emerged as a selective GH secretagogue with prolonged activity due to its attachment to serum albumin via a maleimidopropionic acid group. It was designed as a modified version of GRF 1-29 (sermorelin), incorporating four amino acid substitutions and a DAC to drastically extend its action. In human trials, it increased basal GH secretion without affecting the natural pulse frequency. Though clinical development stalled following a safety incident in 2006, CJC-1295 gained traction in the performance and longevity communities for its muscle-supporting and anti-aging properties.
